In 2016 Tradestaff partnered with MBIE and ARA to recruit skilled carpenters as part of the Pacific Pilot Programme. Faleupolu Tevita was selected by Sally McFarlane and Andy McCormick to become one of the first carpenters to work here in Christchurch.
Polu has built his skills over three years and from this Monday has become a site supervisor for one of our key clients working around the South Island. Lisa Young and the Christchurch team have continued to support Polu with his personal development allowing him to progress with his life in New Zealand. Polu’s family will finally be moving to NZ to join him at Christmas to start their own journeys in and we sincerely wish them well for the future.
We honestly couldn’t be prouder of Polu, his dedication and commitment in working for Tradestaff have been second to none and I know Sally would be raising a glass and celebrating with us. What an amazing achievement Polu! You really are a part of the Tradestaff family.
In the words from Polu himself “It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Tradestaff colleagues. My time here has flown by so quickly and I have gained many life-long friends. I am very thankful that I have gained skills from Tradestaff and I will use these various skills through other career opportunities”
