Fitter/ Maintenance Worker

Maintenance Fitter | $40 - $50 per hour

Tradestaff are seeking an experienced maintenance fitter to join our team for an immediate start!

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical components and electrical systems as needed.
• Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maximise equipment lifespan.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and address urgent issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment condition.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role, with expertise in servicing machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work in Penrose, Auckland, within a food manufactory site covering bread, pastry, cake, and confectionery sectors.

Successful applicants must:

• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Have 2 ready work references
• Have your own vehicle with a restricted or full license

You may also be required to submit a criminal history check with the Ministry of Justice.

Please note that our work is mainly industrial and therefore for Health and Safety reasons you do need a good command of English.
