Fitter

Tradestaff is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Hawkes Bay!
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install and maintain machinery and mechanical systems according to specifications and drawings
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery to keep it in good working condition
• Complete fabrication to parts and components where necessary.
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Test and calibrate machinery to ensure operations are correct
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and address any mechanical challenges

 
Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fitter
• New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 4) is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, technical drawings, and assembly procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high level of health and safety
• At minimum, a New Zealand restricted license AND your own vehicle
• The right to live and work in New Zealand
