Tradestaff Waikato is currently seeking a Confident Fitter Turner to join one of our valued engineering clients based in Hamilton, working within the dairy industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision fitting, turning, and machining work to support dairy industry equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Maintain and repair machinery used in dairy processing, ensuring they are operating at peak efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve system performance and productivity.
- Assist with installation of new machinery and equipment as required.
- Proven experience as a Fitter Turner, preferably within an engineering or industrial environment.
- Proficient in operating manual lathes, milling machines, and other workshop equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in the dairy industry or a similar manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong focus on health and safety practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and with a positive attitude to work.
- A valid driver’s license and own transport is preferred.
