Forklift Driver

Tradestaff are seeking a skilled Forklift (Reach & Counterbalance) Operator to join our team.

We have multiple clients in need of relief forklift operators.  Some of our placements have the potential to become permanent roles.  

Starting rate: $25 per hour.  

Requirements:

• Valid Forklift license (Reach & Counterbalance required).
• Proven experience operating Reach and Counterbalance forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and operational procedures related to forklift operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects as picking / packing duties are involved.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Reach and Counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or distribution center.
• Safely handle products and materials using forklift equipment according to company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform pre-use inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or operational issues to the supervisor.
• Organize and maintain inventory within designated storage areas, ensuring efficient use of warehouse space.
• Assist with picking and packing orders, as well as preparing shipments for delivery.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and practicing safe work habits.

Successful applicants must:

• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Have 2 ready work references
• Have your own vehicle with a restricted or full license

You may also be required to submit a criminal history check with the Ministry of Justice.
