Are you looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Skilled Service Technician? We would like to talk to you if you have experience as a forklift mobile mechanic / service technician across petrol/LPG, diesel and battery electric machines, and also a large forklift rental fleet.
Due to an increased demand in the Christchurch area, we require your versatile mobile forklift technical skills to work on small and large IC and electric machines. You will work primarily at customer sites, and also within the workshop.
A people minded person who communicates well with people at every level and positive attitude to work.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in forklifts
- 3 years minimum mechanical experience
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed, together with assistance of computers
- Troubleshoot forklift machinery problems which includes brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/ or malfunctions.
- Replace broken and defective parts from stock parts and/ or order replacement parts for major repairs.
- Reassemble forklift truck engines and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
