We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Leading Hand / Site Supervisor to join our clients team for a project in Mission Bay. This role is ideal for an individual who has a proven track record in a similar role and is comfortable managing a crew, engaging with subcontractors, and ensuring that construction projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a team, ensuring that tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Site Management: Oversee day-to-day site operations, including coordinating with subcontractors, managing materials, and ensuring that work is completed on schedule.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets company standards and project specifications, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Engaging with safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to health and safety regulations on site.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any on-site challenges or issues that arise, providing practical solutions to keep the project on track.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train junior staff and apprentices, fostering their development.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Leading Hand or similar supervisory role in the residential construction sector, with a strong understanding of construction processes and techniques.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage a diverse team and work effectively under pressure.
- Licences / Tickets: Level 4 or 5 Carpentry qualification, valid New Zealand driver’s license and eligibility to work in New Zealand.
