We are seeking a skilled Telehandler Operator to join our team for a project in the CBD. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a telehandler safely and efficiently to support various construction and site activities. The ideal candidate MUST hold Unit Standard 3789 and have hands-on experience in telehandler operation.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Operate Telehandler: Safely operate telehandlers to move, lift, and place materials such as bricks, blocks, and equipment according to site requirements and instructions.
Material Handling: Transport materials to and from designated areas on site, including loading and unloading from vehicles, moving to storage areas, and placing materials at required locations.
Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the site for construction activities by positioning materials and equipment as needed.
Daily Inspections: Conduct daily pre-operation checks and inspections of the telehandler to ensure it is in safe working condition. Report any defects or issues immediately.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the telehandler, including cleaning and lubricating parts as needed. Ensure the telehandler is kept in good working order.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow company safety policies
WHAT WE NEED:
Must have Full drivers license + W endorsement
Must have Telehandler Operator Card - Unit standard 3789
Must be able to provide 2 work references
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
