Tradestaff is on the lookout for a dedicated and driven Wastewater Operator to join our trusted client in the heart of Hawkes Bay!
This is a permanent, full time opportunity working 42.5 hours a week. You will be responsible for ensuring operations and maintenance of 50 wastewater and 8 stormwater pump stations on a wastewater treatment plant.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity working 42.5 hours a week. You will be responsible for ensuring operations and maintenance of 50 wastewater and 8 stormwater pump stations on a wastewater treatment plant.
Responsibilities:
- Checking, maintaining, and collecting data of 50 wastewater, 8 stormwater pump stations
- Checking, maintaining, operating and data collection of equipment to treat and process wastewater
- Identify and report faults, incidents and near misses to contribute to health and safety and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure plant vehicles and tools are left in a clean and tidy state at the end of each day
Requirements:
- NZQA in Wastewater Treatment (level 4) or a minimum of 3 years operation experience with process plants or water industry
- Full Class 1 driver’s license
- Excellent problem solving and record keeping skills
- Mechanically minded & analytical skills
