Your Day-to-Day:

• Maintenance & Repairs: You’ll be the go-to expert for maintaining and repairing vital machinery. Whether it’s preventative maintenance or solving unexpected breakdowns, you’ll keep the sawmill running at peak efficiency.
• Equipment Operation: From routine checks to performance tweaks, you’ll operate and maintain a range of specialized equipment essential to the mill’s operations.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Quickly diagnose mechanical issues, apply creative problem-solving, and get equipment back up and running with minimal downtime.
• Flexibility is Key: Whether it’s routine maintenance or an emergency breakdown, you’ll be flexible, adaptable, and ready to dive into any challenge.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: You’ll work closely with the production team, supervisors, and other engineers to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Every problem solved and every challenge tackled is a win for the whole team!

What We’re Looking For:

• Solid Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, or a relevant qualification in maintenance engineering. Saw mill experience is a bonus but not a deal-breaker if you have a proven track record in other industrial settings.
• Problem-Solver: We need someone who can think on their feet and troubleshoot issues as they arise. If you enjoy the challenge of solving complex mechanical problems, this role is for you.
• Reliable Transport & Tools: You’ll need your own tools and reliable transport to get to the mill on time, every day.
• Health & Safety Conscious: Maintaining a safe work environment is our top priority. You’ll need to pass a drug and alcohol test and uphold all health and safety standards.
• Great References: We’ll need recent references who can vouch for your work ethic, reliability, and expertise.
