Experienced traffic management professional wanted for an ongoing role. This is predominantly Monday -> Friday full-time day work with only very occassional weekend or night works required.

Minimum requirements for the role

• 1 year frontline traffic management experience and a solid understanding of systems and processes
• At least 2 years managerial/leadership type experience in a construction or civil setting
• Solid computer skills
• A Full NZ Class 1 Licence
• The ability to undertake a pre-start drug, alcohol test

Duties include

• Performing tasks associated with traffic management and in accordance with NZTA.  
• Accurately layout a traffic management scheme in accordance with basic rules, from a generic traffic control diagram (TCD) or formal traffic management plan (TMP).  
• Correctly complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site. 
• Loading and unloading vehicles with signage, road cones and associated devices.
• Operate and communicate effectively two way radios.
• Perform all other duties to control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists too protect maintenance  workers, work crews and members of public.  Accurately and regularly complete site checks and monitor traffic flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times.  
• Completing vehicle pre-start checks.  
• Accurately complete daily activity sheet sheets, ensuring that all variations, modification or adjustments to a traffic management scheme are fully recorded and authorised.  
• Obey instructions from crew leaders, foremen, managers, etc.
