Tradestaff Waikato is seeking a skilled and confident Structural Steel Fabricator to join one of our reputable engineering clients based in Hamilton.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong fabrication experience looking to work with a leading company on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld structural steel components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use a variety of hand tools, machines, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and finish steel components.
- Ensure all steel components are accurately measured, cut, and fabricated to meet structural and safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine materials, dimensions, and assembly instructions.
- Work with a team to assemble steel structures for commercial and industrial applications.
- Maintain a high standard of work, ensuring all projects are completed on time and to client specifications.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with site installations as required.
- Proven experience as a Structural Steel Fabricator, with a solid background in steel fabrication and welding.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong skills in welding, including MIG and Stick welding techniques.
- Experience working with various steel materials and fabrication processes.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Solid understanding of health and safety procedures in a fabrication and construction environment.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are preferred.
