Metal Folder / Brake Press Operator - $26 per hour

Tradestaff are seeking an experienced Metal Folder / Brake Press Operator to join us for an immediate start!

Requirements:

• Proven experience in metal fabrication, specifically in sheet metal manufacturing, with a focus on building ducting.
• Expertise in operating metal folding machines and brake presses within factory settings.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints for accurate metal bending and forming.
• Familiarity with various metals and their characteristics, optimizing bending processes accordingly.
• Attention to detail in measurements and alignments to ensure precise product specifications.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up CNC or manual metal folding machines and brake presses to produce ducting and other sheet metal products.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine required bends and dimensions for metal parts.
• Adjust machine settings such as pressure and positioning to achieve accurate bends and shapes.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation and product quality promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Successful applicants must:

• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Have 2 ready work references
• Have your own vehicle with a restricted or full license

You may also be required to submit a criminal history check with the Ministry of Justice.
